Look what came into our yard last week (Aug 20th)! He is a totally BLACK squirrel - very unusual for Denison Iowa. Apparently he was looking to find some corn on the table. Do you have BLACK squirrels in your area? I would welcome your comments... info@hartwighouseinn.com

Sock Hop for Knitters

Remember the 'sock hop' when we were young? This sock hop is for knitters ~ we will knit socks, chat, eat and knit more socks. This event will happen this coming fall ~ write to us for information or to put your name on the list. Our feeding area for birds, squirrels, rabbits and even deer. Sit on our wrap-around front porch and watch and listen to the birds at the feeders.
